If you would like to play the Find The Recurring Motifs Game, may I suggest starting on this page with the Mirror Motif. It’s often used as a symbol for deception, both in this comic and some very notable scenes in American film noir. A lot of the aesthetic from this comic comes from films like these, is why I bring that up.
